Sunshield offers a wide range of aluminum and wood blinds. Aluminum blinds come in a wide range of colors. You can choose from powder coated or anodized slat colors. The most popular colors are in stock so orders can be placed faster. Wood slats are usually made from western mahogany. Wood blinds are available in several finishes and colors.
The Curve, Amsterdam rounded with 8,000 unique slats
The Curve is a unique office building located in the northern part of Amsterdam. The building has an unusual horizontal ellipsoid shape with diagonal and straight sides. It is built of concrete and steel, and the facade is covered with three layers of glass, which is rich in curved and sloping surfaces. The entire building has 175 window elements, each of which is unique. Sunshield developed a special 96E blind system for this project. Due to the slopes and angles of the building, each of the 8,000 blind slats was individually manufactured, adapting to the specific dimensions and angles of the building. The blinds are manually operated, allowing the user to set the desired angle and thus control the flow of light entering the premises and privacy.
