Facade blinds

Daylight control
People like to live and work with daylight and a view of nature. However, excess sunlight prevents them from feeling 100% comfortable due to the heat of the sun and reflections on the screens. Therefore, blinds are often used on facades to regulate the entry of light and heat into the premises. It’s simple – just set the blinds in the desired position. This can be done practically without transitions from 0 ° (fully closed) to 90 ° (fully open).
solar heat management
The sun is not only a source of light, but also of heat. In winter, solar energy contributes to a lower electricity bill. This is nice. In summer, without an air conditioner or fan, it quickly becomes too hot. This is quite unpleasant. By using facade blinds, you can influence this process. In summer, when the sun heats up, the blinds prevent the rays from entering the room and warming it up. Even when they are partially open. By reducing the rays entering the room in this way, you will control the temperature of the rooms and not lose the view to the outside.

Architectural solutions
Blinds also create aesthetic beauty. Sunshield blinds are always made to order and therefore can be of various shapes and colors. This gives the architect great freedom to create and implement his ideas. And you will have ample opportunities to stand out, because the shapes of facade blinds will not oblige you to choose simpler solutions – you will not adapt to the blinds, but the blinds will adapt to your architectural solutions. Non-standard blinds for all types of windows are one of the strengths of Sunshield.
Plenty of choice
Sunshield offers a wide range of aluminum and wood blinds. Aluminum blinds come in a wide range of colors. You can choose from powder coated or anodized slat colors. The most popular colors are in stock so orders can be placed faster. Wood slats are usually made from western mahogany. Wood blinds are available in several finishes and colors.

An example of an architectural solution – “Two birds with one stone”
The windows of the company “Habufa Furniture” in Happert, the Netherlands, are on the south side, so the sun interfered with quality work all day long. All the tried sun protection measures (panels, interior blinds and curtains) did not give the desired result, and there was no possibility of installing facade blinds because the structure is glass and there was nothing to do with it. “Habufa Furniture” turned to the professionals of the “Sunshield” blind systems. We designed and manufactured facade blinds that solved both tasks at once. The corner element, in the photo above, allowed the installation of facade blinds and fit perfectly into the overall facade image without distorting the original image conceived by the architects.
