Skylight Interior

Energy from daylight
Glass roofs are becoming increasingly popular because natural lighting has a positive effect on our well-being and can help save energy. However, excessive solar heat in the summer causes discomfort. Sunshield roof blinds help solve this problem by regulating the amount of sunlight entering the premises. In addition, we also offer skylight outdoor blinds, which additionally contribute to the effective management of solar energy.
A solution for every situation
Thanks to flexible mounting systems and a wide range of blinds, Sunshield can produce interior blinds for various types of glass roofs – from residential buildings to offices and the world’s most famous museums. In addition to traditional rectangular skylights, blinds can also be adapted to other shapes, such as square, circle, triangle, trapezoid or pyramid. Sunshield has already implemented such projects, meeting various design and functional needs.

A glass extension makes it easy to extend your living or working space by a few square metres. Whether it’s a conservatory or a veranda, a glass extension gives the feeling of being outside, and if the roof is also made of glass, this impression is enhanced. With Sunshield blinds, you can enjoy this feeling of outdoor space all year round, by regulating the flow of light and temperature.
Plenty of choice
Sunshield offers a wide range of aluminum and wood blinds. Aluminum blinds come in a wide range of colors. You can choose from powder coated or anodized slat colors. The most popular colors are in stock so orders can be placed faster. Wood slats are usually made from western mahogany. Wood blinds are available in several finishes and colors.

16 meters high trapezium, two skylights of over 20 meters
Sunshield, in collaboration with its partner Roltis, has implemented three unique blind system projects at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk, Poland. The first is an impressive trapezoid measuring 3.5 metres wide and 16 metres high, covering an area of 56 m². In addition, two special skylights have been installed, measuring 21 and 25 metres high and almost 3 metres wide, respectively, covering an area of 60 and 67 m². The blinds chosen are the 88E model, made of 88 mm wide extruded aluminium. Due to their shape, the slats not only overlap, but also connect with each other, and together with the brushes, almost 100% dimming is achieved, allowing for optimal control of daylight.
